  • Alicja Wysocka will talk about her experience of building a dressmaking workshop with residents of the Mathare slum in Nairobi. As she created the Cooperative Spółdzielnia Ushirika, she was accompanied by faith in the potential of collective work, sharing experience, developing creativity and spending time together talking or eating. The designer will recount difficulties she faced as a newcomer and white woman in the process of entering a foreign social group. She will also discuss responsibility in the fashion industry.
