Relationships change along with us. They are shaped by time, everyday routines, parenthood, work, fatigue, changes in our bodies, and shifts in our emotions. And although we all long for closeness, truly hearing one another can sometimes become increasingly difficult.
This is exactly what our two conversations devoted to relationships and mature partnerships will be about.
A conversation about relationships featuring Paulina and Mateusz Damięcki, moderated by Odeta Moro.
At the heart of the discussion will be the question of how to create a balance in life that works for both partners. The conversation will explore the strength of couples who grow and act together, as well as the ways relationships evolve over time, through parenthood and professional life. Another important topic will be equality in relationships, along with the contemporary tensions and socio-cultural changes that shape partnerships today.
In this context, balance is not a fixed state but rather a dynamic process – a daily negotiation between work and private life, between being a parent and being a partner, between professional ambition and being present in a relationship and family life. It is not a “once and for all” equilibrium, but an ongoing ability to adapt to changing needs, roles and stages of life.
Couple Balance opens a series of conversations devoted to mature relationships. It serves as an introduction to the next discussion, Couple Pause, focused on relationships in later life and accompanied by the launch of the book Until Hormones Do Us Part (Dopóki hormony nas nie rozłączą) by Dr Katarzyna Skórzewska, Dr Piotr Świniarski and Zuzanna Kuffel.
