Additional information
The duo Kacperczyk will perform on 28 June on the Malta Festival Music Stage. Brothers Maciek and Paweł Kacperczyk are among the most distinctive voices of Poland’s younger alternative scene today. Since their debut album Sztuki piękne in 2020, they have consistently developed a style that blends indie sensibility with pop energy and a characteristic generational tone in their lyrics.
Already the song Iggy from their debut record caught the attention of Iggy Pop, who mentioned the duo during his BBC radio show. Their subsequent releases earned gold and platinum certifications, while the album Pokolenie Końca Świata debuted at number one on the OLiS chart. In 2025, the brothers released their fourth album WSZYSCY JESTEŚMY KACPERCZYK, promoted with the biggest arena tour of their career.
At Malta Festival, Kacperczyk will perform ahead of Two Door Cinema Club.
Kacperczyk is one of the most distinctive projects of Poland’s younger alternative music scene.
Kacperczyk, the duo formed by brothers Maciek and Paweł, is among the most distinctive voices of Poland’s younger alternative scene and will be the only Polish act in the international line-up across the festival’s four concert days. At Malta Festival, they will perform ahead of Two Door Cinema Club.
Their work combines indie sensibility with pop energy and a lyrical language that moves between irony and emotional directness. Their songs often explore themes of growing up, relationships, and everyday experience, placing personal stories within a broader generational context. This perspective has allowed the duo to connect with listeners seeking both intimacy and the collective energy of live music.
Musically, Kacperczyk’s sound blends guitars, synthesizers, and a strong rhythmic pulse that gives their songs a vivid concert energy. On stage, the duo creates an atmosphere of direct connection with the audience, where introspection meets the shared momentum of a live performance.

Maciek and Paweł Kacperczyk made their debut in 2020 with the album Sztuki piękne. One of the songs from the record, Iggy, was noticed by Iggy Pop himself, who mentioned the brothers during his BBC radio show.
In November 2021, the duo returned with their second album Kryzys Wieku Wczesnego. Shortly after its release, the record was certified gold and soon reached double platinum. Their third album, Pokolenie Końca Świata, was released in June 2023. Featuring tracks such as Syn okiennika with guest vocals by Artur Rojek and Jakbym zjadł mentosy i popił je colą, the album debuted at number one on the OLiS chart and remained the most-streamed Polish album on Spotify in the weeks following its release.
