LOVE / MOVE is a unique dance performance presented as part of Malta Festival 2026. The project continues the artistic work of young creators associated with the Balet Poznański, Gołębia 8 scene.
This performance marks another stage in the journey of students from Our School who, alongside preparing for classical stage roles, develop as independent choreographers seeking their own language of movement, sound, light, and space. The performance is the result of years of pedagogical work and the creative exploration of students from grades III–VIII.
In their original choreographies, young dancers boldly engage with themes of emotion, relationships, and artistic maturation. LOVE / MOVE focuses on different shades of love, from closeness and harmony, through tension and conflict, to loneliness and a deep longing for connection. Movement becomes the primary language of communication, expressing what escapes words.
The project features talented choreographers of the younger generation whose previous works have been presented at national competitions and festivals. The performance brings together their individual sensitivities into a cohesive, multilayered stage narrative.
LOVE / MOVE perfectly reflects the idea of Malta Festival as a space for experimentation, dialogue, and encounters between different art forms, while highlighting the potential of a new generation of dance creators.
Humanity and its inexplicable need to make feelings harder than choreography. At least here movement gets the last word.
