Additional information

19:00 Gates open / DJ Gambit 21:00 concert To Love!

To Love! will open Malta Festival on June 21 by Lake Malta as a bespoke open-air musical production created specifically for the occasion. The event moves beyond the format of a traditional concert — well-known Polish songs are brought together into a cohesive narrative, forming a multi-layered story about different dimensions of love.

On stage, artists representing distinct sensibilities and musical languages come together: Grzegorz Turnau, Ralph Kaminski, Natalia Szroeder, Jakub Józef Orliński, Anna Maria Jopek, Natalia Przybysz, Anita Lipnicka, Zalia and Krzysztof Zalewski. The artistic direction of the project is led by Natalia Kukulska. Admission is free.

To Love! is conceived as a three-part musical experience in which individual songs no longer function as separate pieces, but as elements of a larger whole. Through specially created arrangements and medleys, the music flows seamlessly from one piece to another, building a dramaturgy shaped by emotional tension and shifting perspectives.

Each part of the concert explores a different stage of love – from initial impulses and fascination, through tension and longing, to reflection. The musical layer is shaped by Paweł Tomaszewski, Nikola Kołodziejczyk and Adam Sztaba, giving the performance a cohesive and multi-dimensional character. The artists will be accompanied by the Poznań-based CoOperate Orchestra.

An important element of the event is its narrative layer. Between the musical acts, short performative moments based on fragments of the songs expand their meaning and introduce additional context to the music.

The concert marks the opening of Malta Festival on the first day of summer, aligning with the festival’s broader idea as a space of shared experience – rooted in closeness, attentiveness and being together.
