Contexts

We invite you to the premiere of Past Simple, a project created by residents Alicja Cieryt and Zuzanna Jeglorz at the Polish Dance Theatre as part of the National Institute of Music and Dance programme Dancer in Residence 2025/2026.

Two figures immerse themselves in a space of memories, where objects, gestures, and emotions return like echoes of moments past. The performance is a story about what once was – and what still refuses to leave. The creators examine the nature of sentiment – its strength, its weight, and its fleetingness. They ponder whether clinging to what was allows us to preserve it forever – or whether it instead robs us of space for what is yet to come. „PAST SIMPLE” invites the audience to pause in the fragile moment between holding on and letting go.

✶ 26 June 2026, 8:00 PM PREMIERE
✶ 27 June 2026, 8:00 PM SECOND PERFORMANCE

✶ Polish Dance Theatre, 8 S. Taczaka Street, Poznań

Tickets are now available at bilety24.pl and at the Theatre box office, open Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and one hour before each event.
