The Air Between Us is an aerial duet rooted in the close relationship between its performers and in the exploration of tension, weight and balance. Suspended above the ground, the artists move through space using a system of ropes and counterweights, creating choreography based on mutual support and precision.

 A key element of the performance is the difference in the performers’ physical experiences and conditions. Florent Devlesaver uses a wheelchair, which is fully integrated into the structure of the choreography. Rather than avoiding this difference, the movement embraces it, making it a starting point for building relationship, tension and stage dynamics.

This is a work that acts directly on the audience: intense, emotional and engaging, creating a strong sense of closeness and shared experience. The Air Between Us brings together the spectacle of aerial performance with the intimate language of contemporary dance, grounded in relationships – between the performers, and between the stage and the audience.
