Women’s Cinema is a series of film screenings and conversations where cinema becomes a starting point for exploring relationships, emotions and the experiences that shape contemporary life.
Beautiful! intertwines the stories of women at different stages of life as they navigate love, motherhood, ambition, ageing and the need for connection. It is a multi-layered story about everyday choices, personal dreams and the search for one’s own path to happiness.
The screening will be followed by a conversation with actresses Marta Nieradkiewicz and Katarzyna Herman, and director Katia Priwieziencew.
Magda (Marta Nieradkiewicz) tries to reconcile raising two small children with running a household, while at the same time wanting to return to work and fulfil her professional ambitions. Basia (Marta Ścisłowicz), hidden behind a wall of distrust, avoids love at all costs, even though she desires it very much. Krysia (Hanna Śleszyńska), after thirty years of marriage, wants to live life to the fullest, even if her husband does not share her enthusiasm. Agata (Katarzyna Herman), a successful businesswoman, cannot find a thread of understanding with her teenage daughter. Julia (Kamila Urzędowska) is ready to sacrifice everything to prolong her career in an industry that values only youth and beauty. And little Tosia (Róża Szmidt)? She is simply looking for answers to the big questions that life poses.
