More than 500 million streams, performances on some of the world’s biggest stages, and a distinctive sound that defies genre boundaries. Worakls joins the Malta Festival 2026 programme as one of the leading figures of contemporary French electronic music.

He began his musical journey at an early age, learning piano at just three years old and composing his first pieces by the age of twelve. Combining a classical background with a passion for electronic music, he developed a unique artistic identity that quickly gained international recognition. As the founder of Hungry Music and Sonate Records, he established himself as a major force on the global electronic scene. His tracks “Porto” and “Salzburg” have amassed tens of millions of streams, while his catalogue has surpassed 500 million plays across digital platforms.

Worakls’ work extends far beyond the club scene. He has composed music for films, television series, documentaries, advertising campaigns and video games, collaborating with brands including GoPro, Armani and Tiffany & Co. In 2024, he also performed at the opening ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival. A regular guest at major festivals and concert venues across Europe, he has played more than 110 shows worldwide, attracting audiences of over one million people. Drawing inspiration from electronic music, rock, film scores and pop, he has collaborated with artists such as Carl Cox, Ben Böhmer and Loreen.

The Malta Festival concert programme will span four days, with three performances each day:

25 June – MARO, Devendra Banhart, Benjamin Clementine
26 June – HAAi, Worakls, The Blaze (DJ set)
27 June – Efterklang, Charlie Cunningham, Beirut
28 June – King No-One, Kacperczyk, Two Door Cinema Club
