No war begins with the first alarm. No love ends with an official divorce. There is always something in between. No man’s land, a postponed finale, quarantine. A damp room in which we helplessly hide a premonition of the end. He is Polish, she is Ukrainian. Free, divorced, but closed in a tenement house in Krakow. They are running away from the war and from each other. Will they manage to run away from themselves?

Maria Bruni – Born in 1987 in Mariupol. In 2014, she graduated from the local musicological high school and planned to connect her life with singing, but ended up in a theater studio at the Mariupol Drama Theater. She graduated from the Ivan Karpenko-Kary National University of Theater, Cinema and Television in Kyiv and completed postgraduate studies in television directing at the Institute of Television, Radio and Press in Kyiv.

In 2009-2022, she was an actress in theaters in Kyiv, Odessa and Bila Tserkva, a teacher of acting workshops and a dubbing actress. She appears in numerous Ukrainian and German films and series. She also collaborates with television stations in Kyiv and Berlin (ZDF) as an author and screenwriter of documentary and feature series. From 2022, a resident, and since 2023 — an actress at the Teatr Nowy.
