In the autumn of 1964, Witold Gombrowicz moved to Vence near Nice, to the Villa Alexandrine. During the summer of 1967, Czesław Miłosz stayed close by and called on Gombrowicz every day. Zbigniew Herbert, who visited Miłosz, advised him against these visits. As a representative of the younger generation, he resented the old masters’ attitude to Poland… From facts and conjectures, from words and silences, Maciej Wojtyszko composes a story about homeland, and sonship, about Polishness, which is always a challenge.

Meeting with Andrzej Seweryn: 29.07 — 17:00.
