Presented in the aesthetics of a simple folk tale transported back in time, Kaspar’s story shows how the social perception of a stranger changes and how it affects decisions and actions of the society. It is an extremely contemporary and truly “Polish” performance.

Kaspar Hauser is a historical figure. He was called the orphan of Europe. The “wolf child” was raised without any contact with humans. He spent his childhood alone, locked in a small room. His only toy was a horse. When, one afternoon, to the surprise of the inhabitants, he unexpectedly shows up on the square in Nuremberg, all he is able to say is the word “horse”. He is also able to sign his name.

Kaspar doesn’t know who he is, he doesn’t know people, he doesn’t know anything. He depends on the good or bad will of the community in which he appeared. Will the townspeople take pity on him? What will be his fate? Will he be able to survive in the social structure?
