Memories and imaginings are formed in the same area of the brain. What we remember is not necessarily a faithful record of the past, but rather an image. Imagine, then, that we grow up in a culture whose memory is embedded in the Slavic world of various gods and goddesses. Would such a culture be more open, responsive, inclusive? Kreshany is a fairy-tale and a ritual built on real and imagined Slavic beliefs, a document of movement and a song of breaking the cycle of not remembering.
