The consent we give, not only at the political level, the global level, happening behind closed doors of the organisations. Do we all, as individuals, have no influence on the reality around us, do we remain powerless, do we want to remain without power. Does one single, solitary gesture can be the ignition point for greater change. Was Mary’s gesture with her hands down an expression of such attitude? Did she change the world? Did prevented a war? NO. But in that moment, by standing at attention, by not giving in, she impressed Hitler, and her hated photo became a pass to save people, her personal war passport. Change, upheaval, dissent begins with a a single thought that, sent out into the world, can trigger an avalanche of events that change reality.
